Music producer Mark Ronson, involved with the Barbie movie's album, criticized Bill Maher's comments on Greta Gerwig's film.

Ronson expressed his disagreement with Maher's characterization of the movie as "preachy, man-hating, and a #ZombieLie."

Ronson used a tweet to share his thoughts, referring to the magic of cinema and making a comedic reference to searching for "mattel board configuration."

Bill Maher's tweet labeled Barbie as preachy, man-hating, and a #ZombieLie, a term for persistently untrue statements.

Maher mentioned that he hoped the movie wouldn't be these things but found it to be all three.

Maher discussed a spoiler-y part of the film where Barbie and Ken approach the Mattel board in the real world, which he said consisted of 12 white men.

He pointed out that the actual Mattel board is more diverse, reflecting 45% female representation among Fortune 500 companies' board seats.

Maher suggested that he's in line with the current reality and criticized the notion that he's out of touch with it.

Maher's negative take on Gerwig's Barbie aligns him with Ben Shapiro and Elon Musk, who also expressed criticism about the movie.
