Chennai: Superstar Rajinikanth’s ardent fans celebrated the release of his film “Jailor” across Tamil Nadu on Thursday.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, actor Rajinikanth plays the role of Muthuvel Pandian of ‘Tiger’ in this film. It is said that theaters across the state have been booked for the week. It was a festive atmosphere as fans gathered around for the first show of the first day and danced with joy.
Produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the action film received a good response to the teaser, raising expectations from the film.
A Japanese couple is here in Chennai to watch a film. Yasuda Hidetoshi, head of Rajinikanth fan club in Japan, told PTI, “Hukum-tiger ka hukum (Tiger’s order)… We have come from Japan to Chennai to watch the film ‘Jailor’.”
Hidetoshi repeated this dialogue from the film “Inga nan than kingu….”
He said that he has been watching Rajinikanth’s films for more than 20 years, starting with ‘Muthu’.
Tiruppur Subramaniam, film distributor and head of the Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association, had earlier told PTI, “It is a Rajinikanth film, it will definitely be opened with celebrations. The enthusiasm of his fans is no less. The film is being shown in 900 screens across Tamil Nadu and everyone is in a festive mood.”
Fans in Tamil Nadu also prayed for the success of this big budget film.
‘Jailor’ will also feature Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Vinayakan and comedian Yogi Babu. Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack for the movie.
